About Hency

I have loved drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. Picture and dreamed of artwork since I was in college.

My main inspiration came from images or impressions that I would see in my dreams or when I spoke to someone about God.

I visualized many of the paintings for years and was emotionally connected to the message. Some images summarized the work of Christ or captured a sermon on canvas. I love communicating through color, movement, and storytelling what I was going through at a time.

When I started, I would only have time to paint one canvas. Then, I added a few more. Learning to paint, I would be careful to share my painting. Criticism can stunt the initial period of incubating a dream. So, only a few people knew about it. It has taken me 10 years to share the dream, which has become a reality.

This website is a testimony to working through pain, testing, and criticism to realize the joy and blessing of painting. Painting is more than a hobby. I paint to release emotion, develop stories, and express what I feel inside and out.

I hope that each of these paintings gives you a glimpse of the goodness of God and the depth of living with deep trust in Him and for Him.
