Worthy of Praise: A Poetic Prayer for Rest and Renewal
“Then I remembered that in dying, I live…”
There are mornings when I wake up and feel like giving up—tired, disoriented, wandering through a world that offers no clear way forward. My soul is restless. My purpose feels distant. And yet, in the middle of that fog, something draws me back to the promises of God’s Word.
Worthy of Praise (A Prayer in Poetic Form)
I have been so lost in the world without Your way.
Many times, I wake up…
Wanting to give up.
Then, I remember the promises of Your Word.
Bring me to a place
Where my restless soul finds rest—
In the burdens of Your cross,
Where my life dies… wanting to live.
And I remember—
It is in dying that I live.
As I search for purpose and meaning,
I look into the darkness
And see the blind leading the blind.
Only You can show me
The light in the midst of shadows.
Draw me closer to You
As I seek Your face.
Bring me to Your sanctuary,
Where Your holiness is glorified.
For You are worthy of all my praise.
Yes—You are worthy of all my praise.
Let Your glory shine
In death and in life.
Let Your glory shine
In death… and in life.
