A Prayer of Faith and Reward
This is a prayer inspired by 1 John 5:15 and my personal reflection,
"Challenge my faith in Him. my reward in prayer is Him."
Father, You have invited me to come boldly,
not because of my worth,
but because of Your love.
You say that if I ask according to Your will, You hear me,
and if You hear me—
then I know I already have what I’ve asked of You.
What mystery, what mercy.
So today, challenge my faith in You,
stretch it beyond what is easy,
beyond what I can see or explain.
Teach me to trust
that Your ears are inclined toward me,
that my whispered prayers are not forgotten,
and that my petitions rise like incense before You.
Lord, I confess—
I long for many answers.
But You remind me gently:
Your greatest answer is Yourself.
You are not just the Giver of the reward—
You are the reward.
Your delight is in my coming,
Your joy is in my voice,
and Your reward in prayer is… me.
Unworthy, yet welcomed.
Imperfect, yet beloved.
Let that truth be enough.
Let it stir a deeper kind of asking.
A bold kind of believing.
And a restful kind of receiving.
Amen.
